Why the split
Free tools set the price of anything local at $0 — Google, Microsoft, and Vercel all ship capable browser MCP servers for free. Charging for local inspection would be charging for water. What a laptop can't do is remember a baseline across a team, gate a pull request, or hold diff history — that persistent, multi-tenant plane is the paid product, and it lives in a separate hosted service.
